In 2010, Andrew began training in Okinawa Seito Karatedo under Ben Kincheloe, founder of Nampa School of Karate. He was promoted to black belt in 2016 by Ben Kincheloe and Morris Mack. Andrew has continued to study under a variety of respected instructors and primarily traces his lineage through Michael Killingstad, a direct student of Isao Ichikawa.

His goal is to help students develop effective skills, strong fundamentals, and a deeper understanding of traditional martial arts.
