Kids Programs at Fighting Chance Training Center

At Fighting Chance Training Center (FCTC), we help kids build confidence, focus, discipline, and real-world self-defense skills in a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. Our youth programs are designed to give every child a strong foundation in practical martial arts, functional movement, and lifelong healthy habits.

Kids MMA Program

Two age-specific groups to ensure the best learning experience:

  • Ages 5–9: Fun, movement-based classes that build coordination, balance, discipline, and introductory grappling and striking skills.

  • Ages 10–14: More structured, technical training with higher-level striking, grappling, conditioning, and practical self-defense.

Why Our Program Is Different

Our curriculum blends the most effective parts of wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai — the same core disciplines used in today’s combat sports and real-world defense.
Kids gain:

  • Practical, functional skills that work under real pressure

  • A strong base for future combat sports (boxing, MMA, wrestling, BJJ, Muay Thai)

  • Better confidence, resilience, and problem-solving

  • Safe, age-appropriate training rooted in real technique — not choreographed routines

Unlike many traditional martial arts programs focused mainly on forms or point fighting, our approach teaches real self-defense, real contact mechanics, and real athletic development.

Traditional Karate Option — Ages 8+

For parents who prefer a traditional martial arts experience, we also offer Nampa School of Karate, led by Sensei Andy, which emphasizes authentic karate, respect, discipline, and practical self-defense.
This is a great option for families who appreciate tradition while still wanting skills that apply in real-world situations.
